I had a great afternoon with my grandkids, at the pool, shopping for pool toys and at my grandson’s martial arts class. 

I got such a kick out my grandkids today.  The grandson has such pluck, that even though he hasn’t had formal swim lessons he kicks like he’s swimming a marathon in the Atlantic!  I taught him the breast stroke today and before long, he was swimming like crazy.  The granddaughter who is two years younger, has perfect kicks but hasn’t quite got her strokes down quite yet. The best day I’ve had in years and years! 

By the end of the summer, they’ll be joining my swim team…might be a bit young for our seniors team, but they’ll be strong little fish in the sea!  Gotta love summertime.
