Many Americans are at risk of losing their access to food immediately because of the government shut down. How is this possible in the most wealthy country in the world? How can this be happening under an administration that promised lower grocery costs along with a lot of other lofty goals?

A lot of Americans are very happy about the government shutdown and bulldozing down the entire East wing of the White House at the same time. The cost of this totally unnecessary golden ballroom at a cost of $250 million, is hard to comprehend, especially while millions of American ciitizens are losing food subsidies and even more are losing lower cost health insurance.

I don’t care if you are a Republican or Democrat, WE ARE ALL AMERICANS who have all needed help along the way in our lives. We should keep that in mind before we start criticizing someone’s desperate need for food.

In Colorado alone, 600,000 people, with half of them children, will lose their SNAP funds on November 1.

The food banks are already running low. What will happen when SNAP ends and everyone rushes to the food banks? Just as we are approaching the holidays and winter?

We must do this together as:

One Nation, Under God, Indivisable to All, with Liberty and Justice for All.

Indivisible means we should not be separated by any political party. Food is a basic need that we should all be entitled to, especially our children. We must be united in this effort to bring our country together by helping our neighbors.

We are taking our Christmas budget this year and donating it to food banks here in Colorado immediately. We cannot afford to wait, we must all come together and help our neighbors now!

I am asking all of you whether you are my close friend, family or just a Facebook friend, to look deep inside your soul and help any organization you believe in….food banks, churches, schools, or just a individual family you know that might be struggling.

We can do this together as One Nation Under God! 🇺🇸
