Is there an age or year of your life you would re-live?
What a tempting question. There are definately times in life that I would NOT re-live. But is there any year that I loved so much that it would be fun to go back to?
Not really. It isn’t that I haven’t enjoyed my life, I’m just not sure I want to go back into my past and stir up both good and bad memories.
The best memories are definitely from when my grandkids were born. How different it seemed from when my two little boys were born years before.
Holding those sweet little bundles, looking into their tiny faces and wondering where life would take them. I would love to cuddle with them just like that, all of us a lot younger and filled with so much hope for what was to come for our small family.
But that time has passed and the family is half the size it was 15 years ago. My younger son died, my husband, my mother and step-dad.

Life is so different now. Not better, not worse, just really different than I thought it would be 15 years ago,
Now I listen to my grandson go through his “Aden’s Anthology of Drumming,” describing the style and technique of all his favorite drummers on YouTube old concert videos with such passion and enthusiasm.
I talk with my granddaughter Maggie about everything under the sun and marvel at her unlimited creativity and gentle spirit that shows in everything she does.
That’s the wonder of life. We have losses and struggles that push us to our knees. Then we get right back up and face the music, ready to look life in the face with determination and hope.
Take a moment and share a time that you would love to go back to. I’m waiting to hear from you!
