Today’s devotion from Pastor Greg Laurie was about the fact that God has each of us exactly where we are supposed to be at any moment, and we should embrace it and thrive!

A song popped into my head from a long time ago, “Turn, Turn, Turn” by the Byrds, recorded in 1965. I just read that it was based on the Book of Ecclesiastes. Who knew, right?
King Solomon encouraged people to find contentment and enjoy the simple pleasures of life—eating, drinking, and finding satisfaction in their work, as these are gifts from God.
Listen to the song and think anout how it applies to your life. Here are some of the lyrics from this 60 year old song that is just as relevant today as it was in 1965 during the Vietnam war.
“To everything, turn, turn, turn
There is a season, turn, turn, turn
And a time for every purpose under heaven
A time to be born, a time to die
A time to plant, a time to reap
A time to kill, a time to heal
A time to laugh, a time to weep
A time to dance, a time to mourn
A time of love, a time of hate
A time of war, a time of peace
A time to gain, a time to lose
A time for love, a time for hate
A time for peace, I swear it’s not too late”
It’s never too late to enjoy the simple things in life.
