All our plans got cancelled this second weekend in our new home town of Santa Barbara.

The first ten days were idyllic, sunny and breezy, where we could walk along the beach or in the grass in Shoreline Park.
That is until the winter rainy season hit here. We have had 8 inches in the past two days with a lot more forecasted in the next week or so. 🌧️☔️
Every time we leave the house this weekend with our rain slickers on, my wet head starts replaying that song that was popular in 1972, my junior year of high school. All I could do back then, was dream of being finished with school, moving out of my parents home at last, and moving to California.
Well, here I am living in Southern California finally. I love the sunny days and the rainy ones too. Life has been amazing no matter where I have lived each of the 30+ times I have moved. But I was born in California and will die here too.
Now this song will be playing in your head today too. 🎵
“Seems it never rains in southern California
Seems I’ve often heard that kind of talk before
It never rains in California
But girl, don’t they warn ya?
It pours, man, it pours”
Crazy times in our new home town!
