Our first day in Gypsy, our small new Tiffin Wayfarer, ended at a tiny campground called Ho Hum in Carrabelle, FL . It has 34 spaces with about 10 right on the beach facing the Gulf along the Nature Coast in the eastern panhandle.
It is natural raw beauty, extremely quiet and secluded and we spent the night listening to an intense thunderstorm with flashes of lightening every few seconds.
We woke up late in the gloomy dark weather, the pups not wanting to venture out until we put out the awning. After our usual routine of stowing our Murphy bed and putting everything back in place, we had our coffee and breakfast.
We wandered around the tiny park, gathered up the fishing gear and walked out to the end of the pier. The fish were literally flying out of the water and within minutes, we were catching little guys along with a Burrfish, or what looked like a monster from the blue lagoon.

Then minutes later a pair of dolphins swam right under us, turning back to say goodbye with a loud exhale as they swam away.
The rest of the day was cooking a yummy meal inside, naps and football. Could we be more comfy at home in our recliners? Of course, but we wouldn’t have caught the monster or heard the dolphins loudly exhale as they surfaced and swam under our feet!
